Just received my hairline topper… how do I install and style?

Do I need to style my Jewell Clip hairline topper before wearing it?

We recommend lightly wetting your hairline topper and styling it before wearing for the best, most natural look.



How do I customize and wear my Jewell Clip hairline topper?

When you receive your hairline topper, you’ll notice extra lace. You can trim the lace to match your natural hairline or desired style — for the best results, we recommend having a hairstylist help you.

Adjust the hanging string for a comfortable fit. To wear it, place it on like a headband, tighten it, and trim any extra string.

If a bead comes loose, don’t worry! We’ve included extra beads. Simply slide a bead onto the fish wire and clamp it securely in place.

I placed my order… What happens next?

Once your order is successfully placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email sent to the email address provided at checkout. This confirms that we’ve received your order. After your order is processed and shipped, you’ll receive a second email with a tracking number so you can follow your package every step of the way.

International Shipping & Tariffs and customs fees

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Please note that international customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the customer. We are not liable for any fees due upon delivery.



If a package is refused, returned due to unpaid customs, or not picked up, we will issue store credit for the item(s) once received back. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

If your international package is delayed, we allow up to 30 days from the ship date before issuing a replacement, as long as tracking shows no movement during that period.

Return Policy & Exchange Process

Return Policy

At Jewell Clip, your satisfaction is our top priority! If you wish to return an item for store credit or exchange it, please do so within 7 days of receiving your order. Please note that we do not offer refunds. To qualify for a return, items must be in their original condition—unused, undamaged, and unaltered.

 

Return Process:

1. To initiate a return for store credit, please include your order number and the item you wish to return.

Please be aware that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Once we receive your returned item, we will process your store credit.

 

Exchange Process:

1. Specify the color of the item you would like to exchange.

2. Note this information on your packing slip or a separate piece of paper.

3. Include the packing slip or note in your return package. After processing your exchange request, you will receive a payment link. Once the payment is completed, we will ship your exchanged item.

Backorders & Pre-Orders

What does it mean when an item is on backorder?

It means the item is currently out of stock, but we have shipments on the way to restock our warehouse. Ordering a backordered item is the best way to make sure you’re first in line once it arrives.

As soon as we get your item back in stock, we’ll ship it right out to you. You’ll get a confirmation email with a tracking number — no need to follow up, we’ll handle everything for you.

We’ll also do our best to share an estimated restock date on our website and keep you updated by email until your order ships.

Questions About Colors & Shades

How do I choose the right color?

Jewell Clip pieces are made with multi-tonal strands to blend naturally with similar shades. For clip-ins, choose the shade closest to your hair—when in doubt between two, go lighter for a more natural blend. Ponytails should match the base of your hair, not the ends (unless going for an ombré look). For toppers and Hairline Toppers, match the top and mid sections.

How many colors does Jewell Clip offer?

Can I color my Jewell Clip piece?

Yes, you can dye your Jewell Clip piece darker only. We do not recommend bleaching, as it may compromise the hair quality. For the best results, we strongly suggest having any color services done by a professional stylist.

Some of our products labeled as “Virgin” may be safely lifted or lightened.

Please note: All color treatments are done at the customer’s own risk. Jewell Clip is not responsible for any damage resulting from color processing.

Care & Washing Instructions for Clip-ins /Toppers

1. Brush Gently
Before and after each use, brush your hair using the Jewell Brush. Start from the ends and work your way up to avoid pulling or breakage.

2. Wash Only When Needed
After using a lot of hair spray and hair products, Use sulfate-free shampoo. Gently wash with lukewarm water and avoid scrubbing or twisting. Lightly condition the ends. 

3. Air Dry 
After washing and conditioning, gently blot with a towel. Lay flat or use a Jewell Clip Hanger to air dry.

4. Use Low Heat
If heat styling, we suggest that you apply a heat protectant and keep tools under 350°F.

5. Store with Care
Keep your hair protected by storing it in the Jewell Clip Carrier Bag or Silk Hair Pouch. Always store in a cool, dry place.

6. Color Carefully
